MANILA, Apr 13 (Mabuhay) — Working with an ex is almost always a sticky situation, but not for Rocco Nacino who’s set to guest in ex-GF Lovi Poe’s “Owe My Love”.

According to Rocco, his wife Melissa Gohing is all out supportive for his stint. In fact, Melissa pushed him to take the opportunity, Rocco said.

“She was excited. [I really saw the support that she had for me],” he said in an online conference with the press.

The Kapuso star added that he finds it “nice” to have someone beside him to assure him that all is okay.

“The fact that she doesn’t have reservations with me working with an ex, [it’s a big thing],” he said, adding he gained even more respect for his wife.

Nearly five years since their separation, Rocco described working with Lovi as “easy.”

They worked earlier worked together on 2015’s “Beautiful Strangers,” so “we knew already how we work. It was like continuing where we left off,” Rocco said.

Rocco will play Dr. Kenneth Paul in “Owe My Love” who will cause a stir in the lives of Sensen Guipit (Lovi) and Dr. Migs Alcancia (Ben).

Rocco and Lovi were together for nearly two years before breaking up in 2016. It wasn’t until one year later when he finally found closure.

These days, Rocco and Lovi are doing well with their own partners. Rocco tied the knot with Melissa in January, while Lovi is in a long-distance relationship with British boyfriend Montgomery Blencowe. (MNS)
